A report directed by analysts from Xi’an Jiaotong College in northwest China’s Shaanxi Region and agent of Netta Lab, and published by Securities Daily–Local Chinese media outlet, has discovered over 90% of the code underpinning no less than 4 out of 5 altcoins to have been counterfeited.
The report indicates to have analyzed 488 virtual currencies that apply open source code. Subsequent to looking at the code underpinning the analyzed cryptocurrency in sets, the scientists found that the code underpinning 405 digital forms of money (83%) yielded a duplicity score of somewhere in the range of 90% and 100%. Further, 324 of the virtual monetary forms (66.6%) had a similitude score of between 95% to 100%.
Just 38 cryptographic forms of money (8%) were found to have a Duplicity score of under 80%. 45 cryptocurrency (9%) were found to have a duplicity score of somewhere in the range of 80% and 90%.
