After a bitcoin scam was accused in the state of Gujarat amounting Rs.5,000 ($763 million) by Congress rulers and India’s ruling government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), after Congress. The estimation is about to cross $12 billion.
As the report states that, after emerging BJP in illicit cryptocurrency activities, few Congress leaders from Gujarat demanded intervention by a Supreme Court.
The total figure would imply ten percent of bitcoin’s total market cap where a spokesperson for the Congress party, Shaktisinh Gohil, called it a “multi-layered” scam and calculated the total cross over Rs. 88,000 crores ($12 billion).
“A new mega bitcoin scam has been unraveled in Gujarat. The finger of suspicion of this massive scam of illegal cryptocurrency directly points to several top Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and a mastermind — an absconding BJP leader and former MLA Nalin Kotadiya.”

Gohil compared the scam to a “Pandora’s box” and stated, “illegal hawala transactions, kidnappings, extortion of cryptocurrency using CBI/police/government authorities at the behest of top BJP leaders in Gujarat is a norm”.
The newest scam in Gujarat on cryptocurrency is by builder Shailesh Bhatt by misdoing a fraud of 200 bitcoins from promoters of infamous Ponzi scheme Bitconnect.
The investigation fought many people behind this and it was found that Bhatt’s offices and later found the police involved in helping the builder in extorting bitcoins. Then soon the action was taken against several officials including state police head Jagdish Patel who was also a part of this fraud.
Nalin Kotadiya, who orchestrated the unauthorized acts with various parties was also got caught by India’s Central Intelligence Department (CID).
Gohil believes that currently desertion on Kotadiya’s arrest “will reveal damning shreds of evidence which will expose top BJP leaders in the state.”
He added alleged the scams and hacks are done as a state operation to convert black money into white. Right away the BJP has accused against the police force in Gujarat and says “an attempt by the opposition party’s “dirty tricks department” to spread confusion and lies.”
BJP spokesperson Anil Baluni noted:
“The Congress was laughable and nothing can be more unfortunate than this as it is the state police which has cracked the case and acted against several persons.”
