According to a press release a BitTorrent and Tron CEO Justin Sun has given $1.5 million to the Hupan University established by Alibaba’s co-founder Jack Ma.
Hupan University was launched in 2015 by Ma in a very bid to assist entrepreneurs and business owners to learn core business skills required for any development and promotion within the Chinese market. Sun’s contribution can supposedly support the following category of 41 students from 14 industries, regarding representing the web sector and half of the traditional sector.
Commenting on the importance of the university to skill development, Sun said, “Hupan University created a large impact and distinction to me and my company. Without Hupan, Tron won’t be what it’s nowadays. My entrepreneurship was enlightened and developed there.”
Educational establishments around the world are step by step adopting blockchain technology each in their curricular and administrations. In Feb, Japanese multinational conglomerate Sony and IT equipment services firm Fujitsu created an encrypted database for educational proficiency documents. In using the platform, Japanese language faculties will compare certificates with data registered on the blockchain to verify that the documents are authentic.
That same month, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and coaching platform TalentSpirit began to put together providing advanced programme in fintech and blockchain. The new program regular for this May is reportedly targeted at management and finance professionals reaching to educate participants on monetary technology growth and its potential impact on the banking and monetary ecosystem.
