Jason A. Williams, the co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital, has taken it to Twitter to call his prediction on the price of Bitcoin hitting $80,000 by the end of 2021. Morgan Creek Digital is the reputed digital asset fund that is subsidiary to the investment advisory powerhouse, Morgan Creek Capital Management.
Jason’s prediction isn’t too far off from most other bitcoin price forecasting graphs that more or less predict the value of bitcoin to lie in the general territory of $80k.
Jason is not alone in his prediction. Morgan Creek Digital’s other co-founder Anthony Pompliano also predicted in an interview with Julia Chatterley on CNN back in August 2019 that bitcoin price would hit $100k in 2020.
Jason had also previously made a controversial opinion on Twitter that the upcoming bitcoin halving in May 2020 would not affect the price of bitcoin.

If Jason’s previous prediction on the consequences of bitcoin halving aligns with what happens, we could very well be looking at bitcoin hitting a market value of slightly north or south of $80k as predicted.
As one twitter user confronted Jason on how he arrived at his prediction, Jason said that he is a fan of famous twitter bitcoin expert, Plan B, who makes predictions on the value of bitcoin, based on market variations.
Jason stated that his perspective, based on Plan B’s work, is what made him predict the value of bitcoin to reach $80k by the end of 2021.
Although Jason’s prediction coincides with algorithmic predictions based on the trend of bitcoin prices, Twitter seemed to have mixed opinions on Jason’s prediction. Some seem to agree with Jason on the boom in bitcoin prices after the bitcoin halving.
While others remained critical of Jason’s prediction stating it near impossible to reach anywhere near $80k by 2021 and mocking the prediction to be absurd.
