We have all heard of the Telegram messenger, and well versed with it’s functioning, but do you know about the new token it has issued?
Yes, Telegram had issued a token if it’s own which is known by the name of Gram.
But the US court has ordered the heavily encrypted application to submit its reports of those who have invested in the venture.
Gram is a cryptocurrency based on the TON Blockchain platform launched by the instant messaging application. The digital currency is unique with its high transaction speeds and its ability to process the massive number of customer base, millions. In other words, Gram is more a Ripple and is less known as the Bitcoin.
The SEC or the Securities and Exchange Commission of the US, which is a formal federal body governing, is an independent body of its own. According to guidelines given by the entity, the TON Issuer, Telegram, has been told to report a detailed report of its investors by 26th February.
The SEC has also mentioned for submitting a detailed analysis of Telegram’s financial information for a long time. Still, as it is known that every firm has its confidential data, the court has allowed the firm to keep those data up to themselves and thus not to demand the same.
The District Court of New York, made this decision for the sake of knowing all the investors of the Gram Token, for at present it only has a report of the 10% of its investors who have been venturing into the Gram.
Earlier the American regulator had already blamed Pavel Dhurov even after the complete ICO or the Initial Coin Offering completed March 2018. He and his team accused of attracting funds to his Crypto project.
Now, as the court has laid its order, they have to be adhered to and let us hope that Telegram able to do as required. The time they had provided for submitting the documents has decided after the defenders of the firm said that it would need a minimum of 7 weeks for the collection of data of those investing in the TON project.
