The Indian Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad along with India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information technology inaugurated the A centre of Excellence in blockchain Technology.
This new centre was opened in Bangalore and is said to support and facilitate multiple government bodies in work related to blockchain development and employment, which aims at creating broad-scale application-oriented Blockchain programs.
The event was attended and promoted by many government officials. The National Informatics Centre of the Indian Government leads the Blockchain centre with the purpose of providing Blockchain service allowing all users to utilize the benefit from shared learning, resources with experiences.
NIC is said to be the premier technology adviser and ICT solution provider to government bodies at all levels. Also, NIC works and provides a solution to various levels of Government bodies.
The Union Minister addressed the gathering, saying that India is under the transformation into the digital age as yet most of the government bodies and agencies are adopting the digital technologies for various functions under various levels.
According to data around 16,000 law courts have adopted digital technology-enabled to function them as e-courts. The widely used applications by the NIC are Direct benefit Transfer and availability of e-scholarships.
NIC nicknamed the Digital Backbone of India, and now is going to reach much higher milestones using the new blockchain technologies and applications.
The gathering received an optimistic approach to the blockchain technology, and NIC is sure to explore and outreach the potential with this unique and growing technology of Blockchain.
Multiple projects have been enabled and are being developed by The Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Technology, such as the proof of concepts for selected government subjects, the NIC is still exploring the real power of Blockchain.
The application of Blockchain is going to the area of e-governance into a larger dimension. The Blockchain once developed, can be used in sectors of finance, health and agriculture.
With the Blockchain technology inaugurated, the self-disciplinary is all set to expertise in the various areas of Blockchain, Financial Technology, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has granted for the establishment of a Distributed centre of Excellence for Blockchain Technology. Various government bodies and subjects are all set to use the Blockchain technology and its inefficient derivatives manner.
