The adult streaming platform pornhub faced a significant backlash from payment processing giant PayPal in late last year. PayPal announced that they no longer process payouts on pornhub without clear reasons, which left numerous people without funds to pay off their bills.
Amid the regulatory compliance of countries, banks, and payment processors prohibited to facilitate payments related pornographic content. The models and actors on the website were recently cut-offs from their PayPal payroll as it withdrew support from the site in November last year for regulatory compliance.
This step from payment giant Paypal turned out to be an opportunity for cryptocurrencies to step in the real-world adoption. Verge currency, which was already a payment method on pornhub, benefited the most from the departure of PayPal, and the price of verge spiked around 40% amid the news.
Soon after, several other crypto giants come into the rescue and offered pornhub to accept payments in their respective Cryptocurrency. Recently pornhub took it’s Twitter to share users of the platform that they are now accepting payments in popular cryptocurrencies.

The latest addition of USDT-TRON will facilitate payment solutions for models. Justin also criticized Paypal and Its centralized payment system.
PayPal’s Drastic Move Left PornHub Devasted
Pornhub, in their blog post, mentioned that they are devastated by the decision of PayPal. PayPal also said that this not only affects PornHub but also hundred of thousands of people working with the platform and who’ll rely on the platform and earnings from the platform for their Livelihood’s.
PornHub also mentioned that they would be adding more sex worker-friendly and non-centralized payment methods to their platform.
