Github Community Witnesses A Rise In Their Community
  • Github, helps in reviewing codes, managing projects, building software together, and many more features.
  • Bitcoin has high regard because of its unique nature and a promise to change the financial world.
  • Bitcoin’s Github community has managed to hit 2,800 members on the 24th of January.

The well-know online developer hub, Github, helps in reviewing codes, managing projects, building software together, and many more features. It is a place where experts and amateurs are allowed to join together and complete their desired work.

Here, any code can be taken apart, deeply investigated and studied, and further improved, if a need for an unofficial intervention arises.

But, with the availability of a platform like this, it would be tough to imagine that the concept of digital currencies does not attract the attention of the developers.

Digital currencies are nothing but the money that has a code underneath its surface. Notably, Bitcoin has high regard because of its unique nature and a promise to change the financial world.

Now, as per recent data from GitGitRun.com, it has been revealed that  Bitcoin’s Github community has managed to hit 2,800 members on the 24th of January.

However, as the Bitcoin community member had noticed, not all reports are tracked, which led him to the conclusion that the real number of Bitcoin developers on Github might quickly be over 3,000.

It is not that easy to find the correct number of contributors to any community due to the reason that many of them not tracked. A lot of times, some counted twice, and many more.

These issues complicate the scenario, and it becomes difficult to determine the actual size of the Bitcoin community — however, the data from GitGitRun chows that the tracked contributors have only been increasing.

BTC has been facing a lot of problems like inspecting and polishing the code, thinking up ways to solve issues, and coming up with new patches and improvements.

As Bitcoin adoption is spreading around the globe, the same becomes true for their developers, which m benefits the rest of the community along the way.

The GitHub community, which is currently working on blockchain technology, has certainly faced some difficulties. One such case comes from 2019, when GitHub started identifying and banning Iranian accounts, due to the US trade restrictions.

This has prevented Iranian blockchain developers from participating in software projects which required private repositories, or paid services. This led to significant consequences, which affected not only the size of the welcomed community but also the developers’ professional and private lives.

Other similar types of restrictions have affected Iranian ex-pats, who had migrated to Europe or North America. But, many found a way to circumvent the ban and keep working on emerging technologies, which also proves the strength and dedication of a decentralized community.
