- Pro Bitcoiner, Udi wertheimer is raging on Twitter on how Ethereum “shills” are also trolling other cryptocurrency ventures like EOS and TRON daily.
- ConsenSys was alleged by Decrypt, to be paying twitter users to defame other cryptocurrencies and promote maximalist behaviour with Ethereum.
A few weeks ago, ConsenSys was alleged by crypto-journalism website Decrypt, along with help from Udi Wertheimer to be paying our grant money to twitter users to defame other cryptocurrencies and promote maximalist behaviour with Ethereum. Wertheimer is raging on Twitter on how Ethereum “shills” are also trolling other cryptocurrency ventures like EOS and TRON daily.
Ethereum is by far the most elitist of shitcoins. They coined the term “maximalism”, but Consensys is actively paying people to spread hate and misinformation about any and all competitors.
Why western media is giving them a pass is beyond me (well, not really)

EOS Slams Ethereum
Brendan Blumer, the CEO of Block.one, the company behind EOS, made a tweet stating that the community should support each other rather than making attempts to attack each other.
We should support each other, as opposed to hiring others to attack. I have taken steps to block users in this article, and am ensuring that B1 never participates or promotes such behaviour within the #EOS ecosystem @gitcoin @VitalikButerin @Consensys https://t.co/eu9bhibSfT

He also ensured the EOS community and the rest of the cryptocurrency world that Block.one does not take part in such defamation behaviour or promotes it.
Tron Vs Ethereum: Tussle Continue
TRON CEO, Justin Sun was also seen in Blumer’s tweet’s replies stating that the TRON foundation would never promote such practice either and preached love and support for every cryptocurrency project out there.
Agree! @Tronfoundation will never hire community members to attack other friendly crypto projects. We should love and support each other! Shame on you @gitcoin @Consensys @VitalikButerin .
— H.E. Justin Sun 孙宇晨 (@justinsuntron) February 7, 2020
This is a rather interesting take from Sun, since in the very same Decrypt article which he is supporting, it was pointed out that in late 2019, a Twitter user “Tommy Mustache” and even Wertheimer himself reported that Justin Sun offered them compensation for their pro-TRON tweets.
Hmm 🤔
3 million, final offer

Mustache even claims to have been paid, while Wertheimer declined the money that was offered to him.
Pro-Bitcoiner Calling Ethereum Elitist of all “shitcoins”
Wertheimer continued on the Twitter rant by saying that Justin Sun is also getting a lot of backlash from the same trolls who are being allegedly paid by ConsenSys.
@justinsuntron is also getting shit to no end from same said shills and trolls. It’s hilarious because they never even tried Tron or EOS. They just know that they’re somehow morally inferior to Ethereum, because…. honestly no one knows whyhttps://t.co/ox12X4KbfJ
— Udi Wertheimer (@udiWertheimer) February 7, 2020
He says the these “shills” have no experiences with altcoins like EOS and TRON and believe that Ethereum is somehow morally superior for no reason. It is also to note that Wertheimer, Blumer and Sun made very explicit mentions tagging ConsenSys (of, course) but also Vitalik Buterin in their posts even though the entire event is not proved and remains an allegation.
Udi Wertheimer concluded his tweet saying that Ethereum is the most elitist of all “shitcoins”, an expression used to refer to altcoins that have no value or have had a diminishing value. He more accurately specified that it was terrible for ConsenSys to be paying people to spread misinformation and hatred in the community to discourage competitors, and is baffled as to why western media allows this kind of behaviour.
It is also to note that Wertheimer himself, is a very opinionated pro-Bitcoiner. He is a noted TRON influencer, so this could very well be a very strong PR stunt to bring down the strong bull run that Ethereum has been on over the past few weeks.
