Based on the January activity of Ethereum, it can be established that the daily users of the Ethereum wallet have increased by 82%, Tron saw a rise of 33%. In contrast, EOS saw a decrease in activity by 61% when compared to the previous year’s observations.
At the moment, Ethereum is the most popular smart contract when considering the number of active dapps deployed. The growth of Ethereum was significant during 2019, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down in 2020. The daily value of Ethereum dapp ecosystem has increased by 39% with an increase of 4% in the daily active unique wallet, when compared to December 2019.
On comparing the data with that of January 2019, it can be seen that daily activity has increased by 82%. There were only 9264 daily unique wallets, on an average in 2019. Now, the number has risen to 16840.
On the other hand, the EOS daily wallet users have declined in number. January 2019 was a great month for EOS, there was a sign of growth, but in the end, it went downhill. One of the main reasons behind the decline of dapp usage was EIDOS Airdrop. The decline continued, and in January 2020, it saw a decrease of 8%.
Tron also had a great beginning of 2020, with the dapp usage seeing a growth of 8%. By the end of January, Tron had over 20,000 daily users. The user activity is showing consistent improvement for Tron.
It can be concluded that each of these platforms had a different performance when looked at together. However, on taking a look at an individual level, it can be seen that Tron and Ethereum are had a successful 2019, whereas EOS is trying hard to get its foothold.
