John McAfee is known to be the creator of first commercial antivirus software named McAfee which later expanded to a range of enterprise-level security software. John McAfee is also a political activist and sought the 2016 Libertarian party nomination for president of the US in the 2016 election and lost to former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson.

John McAfee in his recent tweet praised Cryptocurrencies as privacy coins and how every valuable technology are used first by the Criminal and then only get understood its potential and gave examples of faster automobiles as getaway cars in the 1930s which was also used by the criminal first and the states police started to have supercars under their department. He also mentioned telephone lines how they used to co-ordinate crimes as we all know telephone lines were very notorious back then when little tracing was possible and by taking a bite on Authorities, he said they are always behind in no matter what era we will be living in.

John McAfee cleared one thing by his tweet that he doesn’t want to criticize the authorities or give sarcasm to them that they always catch up later but praised criminals for validating the power of new technologies and make us understand what this can do. In this case, it was Privacy.

The motive of cryptocurrency and blockchain is to have a mode of transaction that is open-source “Free and can be installed/used by anyone irrespective of individual’s area of operation and purpose”, untraceable, unalterable and cannot be deleted. The usage of cryptocurrency is very popular on the internet and it has been seen widely used on the dark side of the internet. Cryptocurrency act as a tradable thing for services like cash and some cryptocurrency is valued more than $10,000 like bitcoin which makes it ideal to trade. On the other hand, Blockchain makes it easier to transact using cryptocurrency. Blockchain and cryptocurrency are preferred by criminals because it doesn’t leave any footprint.

John McAfee just highlighted that fact and enlightened all who are still not aware of this privacy-centric technology.
