Also, Marketing and Communications Director Tim Harrison announced on YouTube that the software was ready for deployment. He also stated that it has taken somewhere around 18 months for the IOHK developer team to re-form Byron, which he finds as the future of the Cardano blockchain.
Harrison indicated that the reason the development process extended is due to the decision to rewrite the entire Byron era. The IOHK team implemented to write a new fresh code via an evidence-based method for software development.
As per Harrison, this approach was more sensible as it permitted the team to build the software without being forced by the boundaries of the existing version of Byron. Building the Byron Reboot from a scratch empowered developer team plan Cardano’s vision and consequently create a functional code that met the fundamental specifications.
Harrison further notifies that the development team wanted to assure that all future developments on the Cardano blockchain are modest and extensively applicable.
The steps following completion of Byron’s development
Harrison directed about the next step pertaining to the completion of Byron’s development. He said the code is ready for deployment on the blockchain mainnet, however, he did not reveal the exact date or schedule for the next process.
Per Harrison, the Byron Reboot has three major sections namely, new consensus mechanisms, Daedalus wallet updates, and Adrestia.
The new consensus mechanism’s main objective is to deliver a high degree of assurance to users. The Daedalus wallet updates will boost its functionalities, increase speed, and allow easy verifications while immensely improving security. The Adrestia will process in the backend to enable easy communications between the Cardano network and third-party applications like wallets and exchanges.
The Cardano community’s followers are excited about this new announcement and responded to the announcement tweet by complimenting this beginner as the future of Cardano.
