The “Bitcoin Jesus” Roger Ver has revealed that it has spent thousands of dollars (BTC) in fees for a single transaction various times. Ver claims this in a video shared on Twitter by Bitcoin Meme Hub.

The Bitcoin’s split story

In 2017, the prime coin has split into Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Cash that divided massive community after a difference over the asset. The traders looking for faster transactions at lower cost moved towards the BCH side. Whereas, the Bitcoin Core supporters wanted to remain in lower block size to help BTC continue decentralized.

Moving further in 2018, the Bitcoin Cash community saw a split where the king-coin itself divided into Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision (BSV).

Roger Ver’s flip-flop statements

On the issue of Bitcoin fees, Ver had switched over his statements in the past, thus, its testimonials are not that much shocking. In February 2020, a twitter post exposed that Ver claimed the opposite by saying seemingly that BTC fees were unfairly cheap.

However, as of now, he claims that he had paid a huge amount of approximately $1,000 for a single transaction. This is not the one time but many times.

Ver is known as one of the prominent supporters for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and from the start, he was associated with BTC split. He was well known for his Bitcoin promotions and involvement in bitcoin-related startups and thus was recognized as “Bitcoin Jesus.”

Moreover, the statements shared by Ver are quiet confusing and contradictory and also, it seems that Ver is just giving hype to an issue. Bitcoin Cash has recently gone through its halving and the prime coin’s halving is scheduled in May.
