The testing period takes a long time. That’s why We think the ETH should not rush. The reason is ETH should complete Testing Properly before making available in distributed protocol with no centralized oversight. After Vitalik, crypto expert Marco Levarato also said there is no possibility of releasing in July.
There is another impediment other than the lack of official testnet. Ethereum 1 needs an upgrade for the BLS signature that is needed for the ethereum 2 deposit contract. This upgraded should be Berlin, but there isn’t an official date

There was no official multi-client testnet. Furthermore, the upcoming testnet needs at least two months for running flawlessly. He also thinks that ETH 1.0 requires a significant update to its BLS signature. He also stated, ETH should complete the significant update before launching 2.0. Hence, we have to wait till the mid of May.
