A leading Bitcoin wallet, Blockstream Green announced today that it is now exclusively available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Blockstream Green with added features
This includes a variety of mobile Blockstream Green features such as Bitcoin, Liquid, and testnet support. It also adds Liquid Securities support; multisig two-factor authentication (2FA); and integrated Tor support to its features.
Moving further, the Blockstream Green wallets specifically use 2-of-2 multisig. While one key on the device and other on the server of Blockstream Green secured by the preferred 2FA method.
However, with Blockstream Green Desktop the user can now create 2-of-3 multisig accounts with an extra third key made for offline recovery. By holding Bitcoins in a 2-of-3 account, the user will get the 2FA protection similar to the 2-of-2 account.
The classic GreenAddress desktop app over the coming weeks
Though, 2-3 accounts cannot be created with the mobile app. The user can import the Blockstream Green Desktop wallet on the mobile app to create 2-of-3 accounts. By doing so, the account will appear on mobile and on the desktop.
Blockstream Green will add several features over the coming months for both desktop and mobile versions. Some significant features include CheckSeurity Verify recovery, Hardware wallet support, Single-sig wallets, and Manual coin selection.
Moreover, with the launch of Blockstream Green Desktop, the company withdrew the classic GreenAddress desktop app over the coming weeks.
