Following the implementation of Steem hard fork recently, Tron founder faces accusations of theft and criminal conspiracy by a lawyer. Tron Foundation led by Justin Sun announced the acquisition of Steemit, a decentralized application for content-sharing in February this year. However, this move did not quite please the investors. They were skeptical if this partnership will even add value to the blockchain. It is important to note that the main driving factor for the partnership was to provide blockchain value.
Hard fork 0.23 implemented by Steem to seize Steem coins
Steemit blockchain implemented hard fork 0.23 very recently to shunt the Steem witnesses who were involved in creating the Hive chain. In the same context, an Australian lawyer Andrew Hamilton is of the opinion that Justin Sun should be held guilty. Also the JPB Liberty CEO, Hamilton believes Justin Sun is behind the whole criminal plot as his actions during the hard fork thereby reveal.
Further bringing to attention, the implementation of a hard fork was for the seizure of Steem coins. Stakeholders and steem witnesses held steem coins worth $5 million. Besides that, the former witnesses created the Hive chain right after Steemit’s acquisition by Justin Sun.
Justin has committed criminal conspiracy besides theft: Hamilton
Amidst this controversy, Hamilton believes HF23 implementation clearly falls under the criminal law for theft. It is worth notifying that the account in charge of voting in and out the Steem witnesses was dev365. The account along with that also took charge of the Steem blockchain’s code. In regard to the same, Hamilton accuses Tron founder of being behind this overseer account. He believes Justin is accountable for directly or indirectly taking control of the account.
Furthermore, besides Justin Sun, @justyy, @steemchiller & @dlike are others who are responsible for implementing HF23, the lawyer claims. Therefore, Hamilton accused the above people of their joint theft and criminal conspiracy in relevant jurisdictions.
