Recently, the Ethereum developer Danny Ryan addressed the progress and features of ETH 2.0. Ryan explained various stages of ETH 2.0 on a podcast, answering questions raised by the r/ethfinance community, a popular global bulletin board site Reddit.
Developers’ efforts Focused on the launch of Phase 0
The developer explained that ETH 2.0 development focused on the structure of a beacon chain. This chain is the basis of ETH 2.0 that is also known as Phase 0.
Initially, Phase 0 postponed at the beginning of this year. But, the development of Phase 1 is under rapid progress. It will be introduced immediately After the launch of Phase 0 in the market.
Currently, the developers’ efforts centred on the launch of Phase 0. Besides this, Rayn stated a computer such as Raspberry Pi 4 might handle Phase 0. But, Phase 1 might require more robust hardware.
The idea of ETH 3.0
Ryan added that the company is trying to cover the entire Ethereum community and get the networks across many clients.
Furthermore, the community highlighted the idea of “ETH 3.0” has been under discussion by some developers. To that, Ryan cited it will involve replacing some components of Ethereum with zk-Snarks. Some protocols, like Zcash, utilised to the quantum-resistant platform.
The developer pointed out that the team will work in the direction of getting the entire Ethereum community involved.
In the meantime, the community members pleased with Ryan’s statements. Moreover, most of the people responded that the developer was proficient in answering community questions.
ConsenSys survey report earlier last month revealed two-thirds of Ethereum holders shown interest in staking. The survey results revealed raising interest in Ethereum 2.0 and staking.
