An Exclusive Browser For Japanese Users

On June 5, a Japanese newspaper revealed that Brave Browser and the Korean pop group Bangtan Boys (BTS) developed an exclusive browser for Japanese users. However, this collaboration is first of its kind between a boy from the K-pop group and Brave, a cryptocurrency browser.

The crypto-powered browser is a private and secured open-source web browser for PC and smartphones. It blocks interfering ads and website trackers. Also, it offers the users to send cryptocurrency in the form of Basic Attention Tokens (BAT).

Moreover, the company reported that the number of active users in the browser has seen an upsurge to 125% within the past year. While the active users reached approximately 15.4 million at the end of May 2020.

Condemned For Binance Autofilling Affiliate Links

Besides this, the crypto-powered web browser came into notice when it was caught using some suspicious activities. When a user attempted to access the website for Binance U.S., the browser started automatically filling an affiliate link into its address bar.

Besides this, the co-founder of Brave, Brendan Eich depicted this issue as a mistake. He also assured to remove the function that causes autofill.

Further, talking about the objective of the partnership, the Brave Browser and BTS are looking forward to a novel contact-point between fans and idols. Along with this, users of browsers can gain points.  When they watch ads they enable the business of the e-sports team of Rush Gaming.
