A Russian IT cell namely, Softline, provided cloud storage to Kaspersky Labs. Kaspersky built Polys, an online voting system for the Supreme Court Of Russia. It was engaged in the cloud storage provided. The Supreme Court on 11th June 2020 passed this statement.

Usage of Polys Voting System
A court delegate claimed that this plenum, which took place on 11th June, would be considered a milestone in the judiciary structure. Like the two other sessions, even this took place in the online conference configuration. However, this meeting was no ordinary one because all the members used the Polys voting system developed by Kaspersky Labs.
According to the statement of one of the delegates, the system’s establishment is upon blockchain technology and it uses transparent data encryption. He further adds that there was an emphatic assessment of the experience by the Supreme Court judges and other panelists of the plenum.

The Russians saw a problem when the judges met via online conferencing but could not acclaim explanation because there was no remote voting system available. Hence, they resorted to blockchain technology.
