John McAfee, the programmer and the founder of McAfee Associates, has tweeted that the GHOST Distributed Exchange is finally live now.

The Ghost Distributed Exchange allegedly promises the anonymity of the users as well as the transactions. And consequently, many controversies took place during its launch. Only a few days ago, Mcafee had announced the launch of the GHOST Blockchain, and it’s a partnership with ‘Telegram.’

The previous Announcement Related To The Ghost Blockchain

Owing to their collaboration with the instant chatting app, ‘Telegram’ the users allowed to readily login with their previous Telegram accounts if any. All contacts, groups, and information would restore and users would have full access to them.

The Ghost Distributed Exchange is a part of the privacy protocol, initiated by McAfee. Ghost, based on the proof of stake consensus mainly aimed at anonymous transactions. In Social media, McAfee also emphasized and clarified the fact that GHOST would supplant the existing McAfeeDEX distributed exchange.

It’s Controversies With Pivx’s White Paper

Ghost has in particular faced many heated arguments and has been a subject for controversies ever since McAfee said that Ghost’s white paper had some of its parts copied from PIVX. PIVX or Private Instant Verified Transaction is an open-source cryptocurrency protocol which mainly focuses on the privacy of the users. PIVX is the result of the hard-fork of DASH. In spite of this, McAfee was adamant about suing PIVX. PIVX also had similar plans to implement a zk-SNARKs focused privacy project which was originally developed by the privacy coin Zcash(ZEC). It is likely to launch in the coming months.

In May, McAfee had tweeted, That PIVX is claiming that the entire protocol’s open source is public. However, the explanation and details of how it actually works are not public while referring to the White Paper.

He further added that claiming that a particular protocol is open source but at the same time also constraining the privacy of the documents considered to be illegal and also added that he will present the above statements in the court.

However, PIVX clarified that no matter what, it cannot be sued because no person has the ownership of its development and is in no way a legal entity
