Recently, Travala.com, a Binance supported online travel agency announced its partnership with Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS), a brand of Expedia Group. However, this is again an exclusive option for the people as Travala.com integrated hotels offered by Expedia through cryptocurrency payments.
The users of Travala.com can pay for Expedia in cryptocurrency
Travala.com is a leading crypto-backed hotel booking platform with around 2 million hotels in 230 countries. From now, the users of Travala.com can pay for Expedia in over 30 cryptocurrencies. Such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, and the native currency of Travala.com (AVA ).
Over 700,000 Expedia Group hotels and lodgings are now available on Travala.com, powered by EPS’s versatile API, Rapid.
Besides this, the Travala.com CEO Juan Otero stated that it was a nightmare for the platform to accept payments in cryptocurrency. The partnership is a rare coalition between the crypto-centered platform and its widely known competitor, added Otero.
The Senior Vice President of Expedia Partner Services, Alfonso Paredes notified that Expedia perceives that payment decision keeps on evolving. The partnership will help Travala.com scale, he added.
Travala and its recent partnerships
Moreover, Travala.com has gone through the same deal with Booking.com in November 2019. The platform added 90,000 accommodations to the Booking.com website. As per the report shared by the firm, reveals that after the partnership, Travala has seen an increase in its revenue by 33%.
Additionally, in late May the firm has also associated with crypto-based flight booking platform TravelByBit.
Moving further, the CEO and Founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao addressed that Travala.com has built its reputation for offering a world-class travel booking platform. Binance praises the partnership of Travala.com with Expedia Group as their association enhances the utilization of cryptocurrency in travel.
