A leading online securities company Monex Securities has started handling cryptocurrency differential settlement starting from July 8, 2020.
CFD trading of virtual currencies
According to sources, Monex Group will start CFD trading of virtual currencies with Monex Securities. However, the former operates a virtual currency exchange business with its affiliate firm Coincheck Co., Ltd.
Furthermore, CFD trading is the trading of contracts for different settlement through an online provider. This is one of the types of financial derivative transactions. It helps to speculate the increase and decrease of fast-moving global financial instruments.
Monex Securities is a member of Japan STO association, a self-regulatory organization of security tokens. Initially, it will handle four stocks including bitcoin and Ethereum. However, it is the first time for Monex securities to develop CFD virtual currencies.
Japan has a 30% increase in blockchain-related firms
In the current year, Japan witnessed a 30% increase in the number of cryptocurrency and blockchain-based companies. According to Monex Group’s prominent bank, Monex Crypto Bank stated that there are 430 crypto and blockchain-based firms in Japan in May 2020 while in July 2019, over 329 companies were being noted. This proves a 30.7% increase in the crypto industry reported in Japan as of now.
Besides this, the Monex Group is actively promoting the potential of crypto-based businesses. Monex Securities is the first to join the Japan Virtual and Asset Exchange Association (JVCEA). Until now, the JVCEA has registered the leading crypto exchange, this is for the first time when a security company gets enrolled in JVCEA.
