Growing Ethereum Userbase: Total Number of Active Ethereum Addresses Hits 100 Million Mark
Ethereum active addresses reaching an all-time high in consecutive days is a big achievement for it’s growing user base. Approximately a month ago, the number of addresses holding Ethereum (ETH) had surpassed the 100 million mark since it’s launch in 2015.
Ethereum’s Growing DeFi Sector
The number of Ethereum addresses holding more than 1+ ETH reaching 1 million mark is an indication of the broader adoption of ETH. Furthermore, the growing user base, to some extent, is because of Ethereum’s growing DeFi applications. DeFi has contributed 100 million new users to the total Ethereum user base, the main reason why the Ethereum blockchain platform is considered the ultimate stop for decentralised finance applications.
A few weeks ago, the number of non-zero Ethereum addresses had reached an all-time high of 42,385,447, with a previous all-time high being 42,382,991 just the day before.
The number of active Ethereum addresses has doubled since the start of the year, and it is said that the active address count of Ethereum is greater than that of Bitcoin.
