Today, Bitflyer collaborated with Brave Software International SEZC for the joint development of the crypto wallet for the Brave browser and BAT. Per the announcement, this wallet named ‘the Integrated Wallet’ and expected to be launched by the end of the year.

Revenue Token Of The Brave Network: BAT

BitFlyer is reportedly Japan’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. Founded in 2014 by Yuzo Kano, it has its offices in Tokyo, San Francisco, and Luxembourg. On the other hand, Brave Software is a company that focuses on making the internet a better platform for users by providing privacy-conscious networks and advertisements platforms based on blockchain technology. Inspired by the Chrome browser, they have also developed a free, open-source browser known as ‘Brave.’

The Brave network uses BAT to drive revenues from its users. BAT is essentially a decentralised advertisement exchange platform based on Ethereum. Users of the brave browser could turn in micropayments in the form of BAT to websites and content creators using the Brave Rewards technology.

Citizens Of Japan Can Now Sell And Receive BAT

The partnership means that the people of Japan will now be able to use the BAT digital currency. As per the announcement, users can get these Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) by simply viewing advertisements that are available on the Brave browser. Users will be able to sell those BAT directly at BitFlyer exchange and use them to tip the publishers and content creators. Moreover, the BAT obtained can also be utilised in the Brave network itself—the service expected to roll out by November of this year.

Previously, Users Received BAT Points Which Could Be Exchanged For Crypto Or Fiat

Previously, many cryptocurrency exchanges supported BAT, which also included BitFlyer. However, the prevailing regulations disabled users from obtaining BAT by viewing advertisements. Instead, they received BAT Points, which could not be exchanged for a different cryptocurrency or the Japanese yen. They were useless. Bitflyer said that the new wallet that they are working on will allow users to receive BAT as the exchange now regulated in Japan.

President of BitFlyer, Kumihiro Mine, has said that the current project is a model case for new opportunities in the cryptocurrency world and is not just a mere investment option. He added that even for those people who do not have adequate knowledge about cryptocurrency will feel comfortable in owning them and using it through the Brave browser.
