  • Bitcoin has been considered as not a good asset class by Mark Mobius
  • Mark prefers average investors to invest in potential metals instead of Bitcoin
  • He also considers that the four key metals are gold, silver, platinum, and palladium which can surge higher

Bitcoin is performing tremendously, still it’s far from surpassing the total market capitalization of traditional gold. However, many consider that BTC will not take much time, and within a few years will surpass gold in terms of market cap. Where many are jumping in the Bitcoin wagon, Mark Mobius, the founder of Mobius Capital Partners doesn’t think that BTC is a good asset class for average investors. The simple reason for such a statement is converting Bitcoin into cash that can be used in an extremely challenging proposition.

Mark Mobius seems betting bigger on Gold rather Bitcoin

In a recent interview with The Economic Times Mark Mobius discussed regarding Bitcoin and gold investments. According to Mobius, BTC is not a potential asset class for the average investors. The reason making BTC not a good investment class due to its conversion to usable cash is challenging and difficult. Also the United States government is observed behind many BTC exchanges.

On the other side, Mobius deemed that gold at its level sounds like a good place to invest. Also, Mobius have assed few gold to his portfolio. According to the Mobius Capital Partners founder, gold seems to have achieved a certain level where prices will now recover.

Investment in physical assets like metals is must

Accoridng to Mobius, individuals should diversify from Bitcoins to physical assets like metals. Although if an investor is not following gold prices on a daily basis, they should invest 10-15% of their assets in physical gold of the longer time frame. Similarly, such average investors should also invest in other metals like Silver, Platinum, and Palladium also. Indeed, such four key metals have the potential.

Hence, Mobius doesn’t recommend the average investors to invest in Bitcoin. Instead of Bitcoin, he deemed such investors to invest in gold, as the price of gold has performed tremendously this week. Also many in the world are expecting that the most precious metal’s price will recover from the current position.
