Cryptocurrency is revolutionary and has the potential to change the day-to-day lives of individuals. Following the importance of cryptocurrencies, every individual globally should learn its fundamentals. Although digital currencies were not that mainstream, since the post-COVID-19 pandemic, the industry is skyrocketing.
Cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, have gained mainstream adoption. However, as many want to enter the crypto market, they are trying to study the market. Many are taking professional paid courses to get cryptocurrency education. However, such course providers often don’t end up imparting enough resources to justify the price tag that comes with it.
Observing the scenario, Oliver Page, a cryptocurrency technical analysis specialist, created a community called “Red Tribe” through which Oliver wishes to distribute crypto learning resources free of cost.
Wanting to explore this new community’s selfless vision, Abhiruk Bhattacharyya, the Community Manager of The Coin Republic, had an exclusive interview with Oliver Page. The extract below highlights their discussion regarding the community and cryptocurrency trading.
Abhiruk: What would you recommend to the beginners getting in cryptocurrency trading? According to you, which is one of the most important traits they should develop before entering into trading?
Page: I think the most important trait to know before entering into trading is never emotionally attach yourself to a particular cryptocurrency. It is easy to do that, and it happens quite often, but if you do it, then you will risk your portfolio. You will have to find the right facts in order to invest in cryptocurrency projects.
You will have to believe in fundamental analysis so you can’t get attached to it or never sell it. Then there will be a day you are going to risk your financial portfolio by holding everything. And to me, that is not investing. If you are just going to buy and hold up everything, then that is not investing or trading. Profitable trading comes from knowing your risks and understanding the market sentiment.
Abhiruk: In the coming five years, where do you see Red Tribe? Do you see it as an established community by then?
Page: So I think definitely by then it will become a well-established community. We may observe a few shake-ups or a few changes along the path. But at the end of the day, it will become a well-established community. And the excellent reason behind it is that everyone will want to get rid of those so-called professional and paid courses, which in my opinion gives nothing. Why should anyone pay a huge amount for a one-year course that doesn’t help anyone understand crypto trading?
No analysis, no methods, no math behind the entire thing. My vision for Red Tribe is to create a community of experts who get rid of these problems and access resources that should have been free from the start.
Abhiruk: Pick out your top five cryptocurrencies and exchanges and tell us what makes you trade in them.
Page: I will first choose BITT, as I love the work they do. I love the team working behind it. Also, they are merging with the LCO network. Still, it is not a really great cryptocurrency. And in my opinion, it’s an undervalued cryptocurrency, so I love to trade that. Secondly, I would choose Bitcoin simply for my personal liquidity.
Moreover, I would choose SingularityNet (AGI) alongside all, as I also love listening to Dr. Ben Goertzel’s podcasts. Also, I think it could become the cryptocurrency of the future. We see Bitcoin using blockchain technology for financial transactions is very small in what the technology can do. And probably I would choose Ethereum as well.
