The new ultra-luxury oceanfront residences in Surfside Miami, Arte Surfside, will now accept payment in cryptocurrency. Built 2020, the twelve-floored apartment block with the cheapest condo listed for more than $10 million has six apartments out of the 16 offered up for sale. Now aiming to lure in the crypto millionaires and billionaires, Miami’s Arte Surfside partnered with blockchain and securities trading platform SolidBlock to allow potential buyers to pay in multiple cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
Luxury Benefits For Crypto-Loaded Users
The press release, published Thursday, cited Arte’s Italian master architect Antonio Citterio, stating Arte is Miami’s “first new residential development” that accepts “cryptocurrency as a form of payment.” According to the announcement, prices start at $10.3 million for condos with 3-5 bedrooms, with access to a 75-foot pool, meditation pond, rooftop tennis court, and private temperature-controlled parking spaces.
Arte Surfside: Miami’s Most Exclusive
The “most exclusive” condominium building located at 8955 Collins Avenue in Surfside, Florida, houses several celebrities, including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Something Navy’s fashion blogger Arielle Charnas and more. Arte’s highest sale to date was the Villa Nove penthouse at $33 million, which has just been relisted at $38 million. With Miami’s Bitcoin-friendly reputation and several major league Silicon Valley companies and venture capital firms migrating to the city, the luxury firm decided to warm up to the affluent crypto crowd, noted developers Sapir Corp.
Major League Firms Migrate to Miami
Miami’s Mayor Francis Suarez was already in touch with “The Dogefather” Elon Musk, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and Google CEO Eric Schmidt, suggesting they shift operations to the sunny state. Additionally, the crypto finance firm XBTO Group holds an office there. The global investment giant Guggenheim Partners’ executive Scott Minerd, former Goldman Sachs executive Don Mullen and tech investors Keith Rabois, Jon Oringer, and Peter Thiel acquired properties in Miami in 2020. Joining the trend, Principal at the venture capital firm Founders Fund, Delian Asparouhov, joked about moving Silicon Valley to Miami.
Miami: Tech and Crypto Hub
Alex Sapir, chairman of Sapir Corp, cued the firm’s approval and support to Suarez’s vision of making Miami a tech and crypto hub. They are securing their position in the future “where half the world’s billionaires are crypto billionaires,” a much too close reality “once Bitcoin reaches $200,000.” It’s real estate that will “sustain” the incredible crypto-created wealth and “provide buyers with a legacy.” Suarez is resolute to landmark Miami as the crypto center of the U.S., and in achieving that, Arte’s announcement is the first of many.
