Tezos, the world’s most advanced blockchain, has joined Red Bull Racing Honda (Red Bull or RBR) as its Official Blockchain Partner that will help the team build its first-ever NFT fan experience.
New Multi-Year Technical Partnership
Announced Thursday, the Formula One (F1) racing team has signed a multi-year technical partnership with Tezos, the world’s most advanced open-source blockchain for assets and applications, to leverage blockchain’s NFT capabilities to improve fan engagement and overall experience. Amid rising numbers of global brands and industries, including F1 racing as the latest offline industry addition, embracing blockchain and crypto, Red Bull is the hot and in-talk brand to enter cryptoverse through NFT.
NFT-Based Fan Engagement Experience
Per the merger, RBR will leverage Tezos’ scalable, efficient, and self-upgrading blockchain network to launch a series of NFTs exclusively on the Tezos blockchain. Joining forces, the team seeks to improve fan engagement and overall experience with its first-ever range of digital collectibles. The collaborating halves are both innovation-oriented with a drive to stay at the leading edge of their respective industries, and the same is also promised in the merger.
Eco-Friendly Feast For Grand Prix Fans
Tezos, the pioneering and energy-efficient blockchain network, operates cleanly with minimal energy consumption and a negligible carbon footprint. Thus also fulfills the current demands of eco-friendly green energy with close to zero environmental harms. Additionally, this tie-up, promising an immersive user experience, will be nothing less than a feast for the global pandemic-bitten Grand Prix fans.
Red Bull Racing Honda & Tezos Foundation Collabs
Red Bull Racing Honda CEO Christian Horner said, with automobile technologies always evolving, “innovation is a constant” in Formula One. Tezos’ ability to “self-upgrade” and remain on top of the blockchain technology “makes it a natural fit for Red Bull Racing Honda.” Moreover, “its energy-efficient design” also coincides with RBR’s “long-term future environmental ambitions” and F1’s shift to “carbon neutrality” and “low-impact methodology.” Above all, it’ll “maximize” their fan engagement through NFTs, “a hugely exciting space” they’ve long since wished to explore.
Tezos Foundation Chair Hubertus Thonhauser shared his excitement for the collab. He said their “principles,” to evolve and adapt in the most efficient ways with security and performance in mind, “are perfectly mirrored in the Red Bull Racing Honda team.” They believe this will be a “winning partnership.”
Automobile Explores Crypto & Blockchain
With major brands and F1 flocking blockchain, specifically NFTs, how can automotive innovators stay behind! The automobile sector is focused on exploring blockchain’s promise in other areas, especially the in-auto experience personalization. Audi-spinoff and startup, Holoride is integrating Elrond blockchain to develop in-car XR entertainment experiences. Holoride also seeks to incentivize the ecosystem through NFTs to entice content creators, passengers, and automakers, delivering a layer of fairness and transparency to the stakeholders.
