Cryptocurrency leader Bitcoin is gaining increasing acceptance and is now being accepted as payments by numerous entities. Progressive Care, a Florida based healthcare service provider, has started accepting Bitcoin payments for its COVID-19 Rapid Testing services at its PharmcoRx locations.

The news comes when the largest Bitcoin conference, Bitcoin 2021, is being held in Miami. The Florida-based healthcare services company provides Covid-19 testing facility to over 50,000 people attending the conference. Progressive Care is not only providing the testing facility but also making good money for itself.

The future is of blockchain technologies

However, the company CEO and Chairman Alan Jay Weisberg is an avowed fan of Bitcoin and firmly believes that blockchain technologies are the future. Allan informed that his company is extending its services to those who prefer to pay Bitcoins. Allan added that Bitcoin is a welcome alternative for the post-Covid-19 pandemic tourists who have attended the conference. 

How Progressive Care Bitcoin payment platform functions

Progressive Care has developed a QR code that will enable a streamlined and user-friendly Bitcoin payment experience. The Florida health firm subsidiary PharmcoRx has been accepting crypto payments since 2018. 

With the opening of the lockdown and the start of air travel, it is a hectic time for PharmcoRx’s COVID-19 PCR-based testing. The test is an essential document in all international airlines. The company hopes to rapidly increase its testing services and become the leading testing destination for Rapid COVID-19 Testing solutions across multiple industries.

Crypto adoption continues to widen

The adoption of Bitcoin as payment by the healthcare company is one more addition to the growing list of entities accepting cryptocurrency as a currency. BTC has seen acceptance by many renowned institutional clients early in 2021. Many institutions have been investing in cryptocurrency, which many see as the currency6 of the future. Notable among these are Square, MicroStrategy, PayPal, and even Tesla, which stopped accepting BTC due to environmental concerns invested heavily in the cryptocurrency.
