Two students of Australia who had several years ago thrown the idea of business to the university about their business venture in cryptocurrency are making it happen now. The twos Andrew Grech and Richard Voice.
It has come as a surprise for the two University students Andrew Grech and Richard Voice of Sydney of their idea getting into reality. The two friends had an idea when they were in University.
The two friends while in a university tutorial several years ago had shared an idea that will now see the light of the day as the Australian Cryptocurrency landscape changed forever.
Grech and Voice, both 24 met at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2018, while studying a double degree in business and IT.
We were in the same tutorial together. The topic in the tutorial was does anyone have any business ideas, said Voice to a media publication house.
Grech shared with his classmates that he wanted to make it possible to purchase things from cryptocurrency directly. Voice also loved the idea and looked for Grech, who handed him a business card.
The Launch
Both of them together have launched their company in October 2020 CryptoSpend. The company allows Australians to use cryptocurrency for paying their bills.
Soon the Visa will also partner with their company to offer seamless services to their customers. While working with Visa, they will be able to issue physical debit cards to cryptocurrency traders. They can spend money in real-time as the prices rise and fall. The card will be available from next month to the customers.
How will the card be used
It will be the first card to be introduced in Australia. The card will be used for over the counter purchases and online shopping opportunities. Another exciting thing is digital cards as well as physical. These cards will be available directly to the customer’s apple wallet.
Axel Boye-Moller, Head of Product and Solutions for Visa’s Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Region said the card was ideal for everyday purchases. Boye Moller said that the crypto linked visa cards will make it easier for people to spend cryptocurrency for everyday items, anywhere Visa is accepted.
This will help the Australians as it is simple and people can tap to pay to check out experience with the world of digital currencies and the small business on the other end does not need to change anything about how it accepts payments.
