The term metaverse was first coined by Neal Stephhenson in his novel “Snow Crash” in 1992 to express a virtual realistic world.
The more Rudimentary version of the metaverse is NFT. It is an innovation that allows people to purchase virtual tokens with a mathematical uniqueness embedded in the blockchain that guarantees exclusiveness of the token. Metaverse is literally the internet brought to life in a 3D way and exposes the internet in a more experiential manner. It is a highly alluring virtual world, where people can perform all the activities similar to real life, virtually. Be it taking trips to any part of the world, working through your virtual office or attending schools, or simply going to a concert of your favorite rockstar, all of it can be done virtually in the world of metaverse.
The metaverse isn’t a new topic to fellow gamers, people who are familiar with simulations of another world like fortnight or basically an activity of a simulator, are well aware of the immersion of the metaverse . Video game companies have also gone big on the metaverse.
The creator of Fortnight, Epic Games Inc. has raised 1 billion $ in regards to its plans of building the metaverse and tailoring it to game specifics.

Though connecting to the metaverse would be through very demanding hardware like VR headsets and maybe in the future a sensory apparatus machine to experience and receive sensations of whatever’s happening in the virtual world.
Victoria Petrock, an analyst who follows emerging technologies believes that metaverse is the next evolution of connectivity where everything comes together in a doppelganger universe seamlessly making the virtual experience much real.
According to the analyst, Tech companies still have a long way to go in figuring out the intraconnectivity of their platforms to others so that people don’t have to juggle between Facebook’s, now meta’s metaverse versus Microsoft’s metaverse.

A senior venture capitalist Steve Jang, who specializes in blockchains pointed out that users want to move through the internet liberally but at the same time, they don’t want to be tracked and monitored whatever they do on the internet.
It is assumed that the metaverse will measure more apparatus of one’s preferences & biases of movements & beliefs as more of it is exposed in the metaverse. However as the metaverse is a distinct possibility, policies around data & privacy are yet to be disclosed.
The whole spectrum of Metaverse is specifically cruxed around the European Union, Where the lawmakers have some of the most rigorous data privacy laws in the world. The General Data protection & regulation (GDPR) acts as a part of the strategy to step in and keep the tech creations in check and not invade others’ privacy.
