Bitcoin was introduced back in 2009 when the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto released the 9-pages whitepaper. However, as the new mode of digital payments began to be searched by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Nakamoto hid himself in the thin air. After several years Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist claimed himself to be the inventor of the flagship cryptocurrency. However, now he has been asked by the United States jury to pay $100 million in damages after he duped a deceased friend over intellectual property for the digital asset.

Miami Federal Court reached a verdict

After an entire week the Miami Federal Court reached a verdict, which came after a nearly three-weeks trial. According to the jury, most of the claims against Wright and the results of the trial probably cannot resolve the debate as to whether he is the legendary instigator of the leading cryptocurrency.

Notably, the brother of the computer security expert Dave Kleiman, who died in 2013 has alleged that the late Florida man worked with the computer scientist in his early days. Indeed, he had helped Wright in creating and mining BTC.

The claimant of the lawsuit claimed that the asset was entitled to half of the 1.1 million BTC in cash. Notably, the amount would be near $70 billion in the current scenario which is believed to be held by Satoshi Nakamoto.

Is Craig Wright the true Bitcoin creator?

According to some Bitcoiners in the industry, Wright’s claims are fake. Indeed, the years-long lawsuit in Miami has done a little to pacify suspects. The Australian computer scientist has announced that he has introduced the concept of Peer-to-Peer transactions in the court.

However, if this time the jury goes against Wright, he would be forced to produce Satoshi’s fortune. Following the scenario, several instigators have claimed that the lawsuit is going to be the perfect test for Wright.

Following the latest verdict, Wright expressed that he is relieved now. Moreover, he explained that he felt right and the latest ruling has proved that he is the inventor of the BTC whitepaper. Additionally he cited that the jury clearly found that Craig is the creator because otherwise there would have been no award.

According to Devin Friedman, an attorney at the Kleiman Estate, several years ago the Australian computer scientist told the Kleiman family that he and Dave have developed the revolutionary payments network. Besides such claims Wright refused to provide Dave his fair share of what he helped.

Wright has conspired forgery and lies

According to Friedman, the fake creator of Bitcoin is liable for the conversion and indemnified W&K Info Defense Research LLC, the entity in which Dave and Wright worked. In the argument, the jury highlighted that Wright had planned and conspired with forgery and lies to steal from his dead associate. Additionally, the estate also claimed that the friends did together, and Kleiman helped build the intellectual property behind the $252 billion early blockchain technology.
