The Sandbox, one of the leading metaverse projects that is a subsidiary of Animoca brands has garnered notable attraction. Over the last year, the project has witnessed significant growth. Recently, the brains behind the project has announced that they have made multiple coalitions in Hong Kong. Notably, all the collaborations aim to create a Mega city in the metaverse. Furthermore, the announcement highlighted that the partners who acquired land in the metaverse to build the millennial project include, Hong Kong tycoon Adrian Cheng, professional services firm PWC Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong actress and model Shu Qi.
“Mega City” in The Sandbox metaverse
Over the past year, Web3.0, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and metaverse have seen significant demand, and grown exponentially. Following the scenario, projects like Decentraland and The Sandbox have also witnessed significant demand.
On Wednesday, the Animoca Brands subsidiary and blockchain metaverse that leverages NFTs technology announced the launch of “Mega City”. To do so, the firm made a number of collaborations in Hong Kong and the metaverse region will become a new culture hub.
165 firms partnered with the blockchain metaverse
According to the announcement, The Sandbox partnered with the renowned Hong Kong businessmans, Adrian Cheng, the CEO of New World Development, Founder of the K11 brand, and Chow Tai Fook jewelry company’s executive director.
Notably, the metaverse will feature Cheng’s XL Estate that aims to be a n innovation hub of the “Mega City”. Notably, the landmark will be the GBA Pavilion, and will showcase creativity and tech wonders. Besides, award winning entertainment stars like director Stephen Fung and actress Shu Qi have plans to showcase exclusive NFTs.
The metaverse plans to create an exciting district of Mega City that will showcase their talents and love for the world of art and culture. The announcement also detailed that the metaverse enthusiasts and The Sandbox users will be able to acquire land next to the Mega City.
Land sale in the Mega City region
Following the launch, The Sandbox also announced a land sale of property. These would be located adjacent to the Mega City region. According to the announcement, to celebrate their new partnerships, the metaverse will launch a new LAND sale this month on 13th. Notably, the sale will allow players in the virtual world to purchase choice spots near the LANDs of the partners.
