- Soon after the Poll results, positive response towards ADA started reflecting, and its price started rallying since then
Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder, set up a poll for the Ethereum Community on Twitter. He asked if you wake up in the year 2035 and choose a currency for your transactions and savings other than Ethereum, what will be your choice? And to choose from, he had given options in two different tweets, four cryptocurrencies in each tweet.
The options for the first tweet were BTC, ADA, USD, and SOL, and in the second tweet, TRON, BNB, CNY, and NEO. Approx 600,697 people voted in response to the first tweet and 358,743 votes for the second. Cardano (ADA) was on the top of the first PollPoll with approx 42.% votes. Bitcoin remains second with 38.4$ votes, Solana for 13.1%, and USD with 6.5%. For the second PollPoll, Tron for highest votes which is 51.2% of total votes, followed by 22.8% to Binance coin, NEO got 21.8%, and Chinese Yuan got 4.1%.
Here what’s interesting is that Vitalik included famous coins other than Ethereum, which are considered rivals of the cryptocurrency. They are often called the ‘Ethereum Killer.’ The positive response towards the Cardano (ADA) soon started reflecting on its price, which started rallying soon after the polls result. However, the result may not be that much of a surprise because Cardano had proven its worth many times. It even got the third rank in market capitalization in September. That happened because of the most awaited upgrade in Cardano, Alonzo Upgrade, which also hiked its price up to $3.10. Cardano was founded by Charles Hoskins, who was also one of the co-founders of Ethereum Blockchain.

Many famous cryptocurrencies also had large market capitalizations, but they left behind ADA. For instance, take the example of Bitcoin, the first and most prominent cryptocurrency in the world after ADA. In comparison to ADA, BTC has a larger market cap, and it was even older than ADA. But still, the trust in ADA instead of BTC can be seen as the technological advancements, many features, and other use cases. The difference between their market cap is enormous; BTC has approximately $810 billion, and ADA has just $51 billion.
For the second PollPoll, TRON was chosen among the given options with more than half the votes. TRON beat BNB, CNY, and NEO cryptocurrencies altogether. These polls may not be a complete picture of what general crypto users will choose or which Crypto is the best of all. It can be seen as the Ethereum Community is considering this and are not skeptical about cryptocurrencies other than Ethereum. Not just ADA, the winner of the PollPoll, other cryptocurrencies in the PollPoll were also having colossal popularity and their predictions. For instance, Bank Of America’s statement regarding Solana could take the market share of Ethereum away.
