play-to-earn gamers Yield Guild Games or YGG reported adding approx 20,700 new scholars in February. These scholars are from the well-known NFT based online video game Axie Infinity. The recent addition of contemporary scholars is an increase of almost 8500% as the number was only 241 at the same time last year.
YGG stated along with the announcement that this milestone marks yet another record in play to earn gaming space. Scholars from several play to earn games other than the Axie Infinity platform were also added to the gaming guild.
The details about the perks that scholars get in play to earn scholarships include allowing new players to borrow an Axie NFTs team from the Guild. The total earnings of these scholar players are split among the player, the community or scholarship manager, and the Guild itself.
As per reports, the total earning of YGG scholars in February was over 26.4 million Smooth Love Potion, SLP’s native token of Axie Infinity. The farmed earning itself grew by 57% from farming figures of January.

Following the conditions, out of the total earnings, about 70% was received by the scholars, that is about 18.4 million SLP worth $360,000, 20% of the revenues went to the scholarship manager and the rest 10 to YGG Guild.
Despite the dipping down of SLP prices, sustainable demand for scholarships with YGG was maintained. Currently, SLP is trading at $0.017, which is almost 95% lower than its all-time high of $0.40, which was in July 2021.
Yield Guild Gamed is fundamentally a DAO of gamers belonging to different regions from Southeast Asia and Latin America. Primarily it operates through generating yield across other games by investing in in-game NFTs that lent to players. In June 2021, in a funding round, it secured $4 million worth of funds that it invested in Non fungible tokens.
Other than Axie Infinity scholarships, similar incentives were launched by YGG for Cyball, which is a cyberpunk soccer-themed play to earn the game. For Cybill, the gaming guild put only 1000 scholarships that went out full in no time. However, YGG said that more scholarships would be offered through its Discord channel soon.
