First Quarter 2022 Witnesses Nearly 3,000 Crypto ATMs Installation: A Data Signifies

  • A crypto ATM tracker website data shows that approximately 20,000 crypto ATMs were installed last year. 
  • The majority of the machines are installed in the US, and the country with the second-largest number of crypto ATMs is Canada. 
  • The ATMs support Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and a few others.

According to the crypto ATM tracker coinatmradar.com, there are around 36,659 crypto ATMs installed in 76 varied countries. The number of Crypto ATMs has increased considerably throughout the years, and last year saw the largest annual increase to date, with more than 20,000 machines added during the year 2021.

The first quarter of 2022 has ended, and the data specifies that there are 36,659 crypto ATMs currently available. According to a news website, On December 30, 2021, there were 33,900 crypto ATMs, which signifies that over the past 93 days, 2,759 crypto ATMs have been installed across the world.

These figures account for around an 8% surge since Dec 30. Presently there are 612 operators looking over 36,659 machines. The operators include Bitcoin of America,

Bitcoin Depot, Coin Cloud, and Coinflip. Furthermore, there are 43 producers of the crypto ATMs with manufacturers including Genesiscoin, General Bytes, Bitstop, Bitaccess, Coinsource, etc.

If we talk about the operator, Bitcoin Depot stands first on the list in terms of the most crypto ATMs as it has 7,001 installed worldwide. Whereas Coin Cloud is the next largest operator with 5,198 crypto ATMs currently operating. 

The data further highlights a map of where all these crypto ATMs are located and which crypto-assets do these machines support. It shows that the ATMs support bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, Monero, Zcash, Tether, and XRP.

The crypto ATM tracker website also shows that the majority of the machines are installed in the US, and Canada is the country with the second-largest number of crypto ATMs. Both these countries are followed by Spain. 

The first quarter has ended, and there are three more to go, more crypto ATMs are being widely installed this year.
