The rumors about multi billionaire entrepreneur and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk could buy the social media giant Twitter, are getting more and more air as the days get passing. On top of all this, now there are talkings that Twitter could also sign a deal with the multi-billionaire entrepreneur to sell itself to him.
On late sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported that social media giant Twitter could accomplish a deal in which the platform could sell itself to Elon Musk and it could happen around this week, as soon as possible. The report from the WSJ said that both sides met on Sunday to discuss the proposal that Musk had presented and were making progress although there were several issues here and there that are still needed to hash out, as per the sources having knowledge about the process.

It’s worth noting that Elon Musk had forwarded an offer earlier this month, to purchase the social media platform at $54.20 per share. This move came out after several days when he acquired about 9.2% of stakes in Twitter. After a day when Musk put his proposal, board members of Twitter put in a so-called poison pill in place that was seen as an effort that was widely intended as a medium to hamper or avoid the potential deal.
In the report of Journal there stressed about both timing of finalization and its overall prospectus that remain uncertain. The report noted that Twitter is condemned to report its earnings in the first quarter on Thursday and there had been expectations to put a burden on the bid then, even if not sooner.
