OneFootball Enters Blockchain Realm

OneFootball, a soccer media platform based in Germany, gathered $300 Million to double down on its existence in Web3 ecosystem. Hong Kong HQed Animoca Brands, Liberty City Ventures, and other investment mammoths led the financing.

It will enable teams, players, soccer federations to launch virtual assets as well as fan tokens based on blockchain tech. Backers will be able to acquire and store collectibles with their credit card and email.

OneFootball, CEO and Founder, Lucas von Cranach, made a forecast that blockchain tech and soccer will be highly connected in future. He stated that they thinks the future is gonna be decentralized and developed on web3, offering back digital asset and data ownership to the fans.
