After Bill Lee purchased $625,000 worth of NFTs related to the rappers’ BIG3 basketball league in DOGE, Ice Cube claimed he’s down with the “DogeArmy.”

Involvement of players

Cube’s involvement with Dogecoin may be traced back to his co-founding of the BIG3 basketball league. Former NBA players are more commonly seen in three-on-three basketball games than in typical five-on-five games.

Last month, the BIG3 announced a new ownership arrangement for the league, which entails selling tokenized stakes in each of the 12 teams.

Ice Cube, real name O’Shea Jackson Sr., has joined the Dogecoin (DOGE) bandwagon with his support for an “amazing and historical” DOGE transaction.

1000 nonfungible tokens (NFTs) are distributed to each team, with 25 “Fire” NFTs worth $25,000 each and 975 “Gold” NFTs worth $5,000 each.

“If you like DOGE, I and the DogeArmy will gladly accept one.” According to Ice Cube’s previous article, Snoop Dogg has purchased two teams, according to MyDoge wallet co-founder Bill Lee.

NFT programs involve apes and owls

As part of the statement, Lee threw a slight jab at NFT programs involving apes and owls, hinting that he only looks at NFT projects that are useful.

This is despite the fact that various ape and owl projects have made hodlers useful, and it’s a lot of rubbish for a guy who’s mostly focused on wallets for a meme coin that was created as a joke.

The BIG3 is revolutionizing the game by offering ownership advantages such as licensing/IP, team voting/management, and merchandising.

25 Fire NFTs for the “Aliens” team

While it’s unclear how “down” the BIG3 is with DogeArmy Ice Cube, the BIG3 released a press release the same day announcing that Lee had purchased all 25 Fire NFTs for the “Aliens” team via DOGE.

According to Ice Cube, the “amazing and historical” deal was valued at $625,000, or around 4.86 million DOGE at the time of writing, with the BIG3 dubbing it the “biggest commercial transaction in DOGE history.”

On its first day, tumbleweeds raced through Coinbase NFT, generating only $75K in volume.

Game management, voting rights, and intellectual property/licensing rights for team logos, names, and products are all available to Fire NFTs owners.
