Mullen Automotive And LGG Take Solid State Polymer Battery Cell Tech Into Vehicle Level Pack

Mullen Automotive is a strong player in the electric vehicle market and has recently announced an update about its collaboration with Linghang Guochuang Group (LGG). 

The Mullen and LGG partnership aim at taking solid-state polymer battery cell tech to the automobile pack level development for Mullen Automotive. Solid-state polymer batteries are planned for the second generation of the Mullen FIVE EV Crossover as of now. 

Partnership Rose From The Ashes

Initiating in late 2019, Mullen and LGG continue with their collaboration. However, it was cornered a bit during 2020 because the global pandemic hit the world. But the entities have made significant progress in some recent months. And now, they have announced that they initiated the integration of Solid-state polymer cell technology into the vehicle pack level. 

According to Mullen, which highlighted earlier that the solid-state polymer batteries are planned for the second generation of the Mullen FIVE EV Crossover as of now. Data signifies that these batteries have a strong potential range of 600 miles on a full charge and over 300 miles of range delivered in 18 minutes with DC fast charging. 

According to Yao Wang, GM for Linghang Guochuang, The company is pleased to be able to continue with its original written agreement with Mullen Automotive.

According to the CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive, David Michery, he is pleased to announce today that Mullen Automotive and LGG are taking their steps ahead on solid-state vehicle pack level development. And that Scaling from the cell level to pack level development is a primary accomplishment and one he is proud to announce is progressing with LGG as their partner.

The California-based automotive company also recently announced the Strikingly Different U.S. Test Drive Tour across the U.S, covering 19 cities. The tour is planned to begin this fall in Southern California and then go ahead with its way throughout the U.S.
