  • Tiroche, a family-owned auction house, has auctioned off cowboy boots of Ariel Sharon, Rolex of Yitzhak Rabin, and Chagalls and Gutmans.
  • The 4 israeli artists whose NFT artworks will be auctioned off at Tiroche auction block are Tag, Moran Victoria Sabag, Shirley Shor, and Shira Barzilay.
  • The values of these NFT arts are lesser in contrast to abroad prices, majorly due to the fact that Israeli artists are not that famous.

Israeli Auction House In The NFT Arena

The Tiroche auction house based in Israel has auctioned Ariel Sharon’s cowboy boots, Yitzhak Rabin’s Rolex and Chagalls and Gutmans from its auctioneer block.

But the sale of 4 NFTs made by the Israeli artists is the initial, and the one that the family owned auction house has considered for quite some time.

Operator of the auction house Amitai Hazan Tiroche said that they began giving a thought about it, but weren’t really prepared to enter the realm they do not understand.

NFTs are digital commodities based on blockchain which has lured the art world into an accumulation frenzy. The technology provides a certificate of authenticity to virtual creations, enabling individual ownership of something which could otherwise be replicated endlessly.

Who Are These Artists?

The 4 Israeli artists whose NFT works will be on display for auction are Moran Victoria Sabag, who is a violinist who integrates her art and music, Shirley Shor, a video artist, Shira Barzilay aka Koketit, and Tag, who is a street artist.

The NFT artworks of Sabag, Tag and Shor are valued at $3k to $6k, while the artwork of Koketit is around $10k to 15k, said Tiroche.

The values of NFTs are lesser than NFTs abroad, this is due to the less popularity of Israeli artists.

Tiroche stated that auctions do operate on demand and folks are testing the market, and they do not have any idea regarding it.

Throughout the previous year, several organizations and entrepreneurs reached out to Tiroche, showing their willingness to work with the auction house on NFT trade. He said that they were cautious, considering that there is not much of a track record for anyone dealing in this latest art field.

That said, Tiroche thinks that they are here to stay, indicating towards fashion brands Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Nike working with virtual artists to create NFTs, and to make their presence prominent in this sector.
