Yuga Labs had virtually “broken” Etherscan due to the tremendous demand produced by their Otherside mint a couple of months ago.

As a result, there have been talks about how such a body may address the issues that occurred throughout its storied mint.

Many ideas have been offered in order to assist ensure that anything like this does not happen again.

Why Immutable X is an ideal option

The Otherside metaverse should be based on Immutable X’s protocol, according to the proposal.

It claims that the protocol is ideal for the Bored Ape Yacht Club because it is extremely scalable, allows for no-fee transactions, and is carbon-neutral (BAYC).

Because demand remains strong, scalability is the most crucial feature, and it will help prevent the network outage that occurred on Ethereum.

For a number of Web3 applications, Immutable X, an L2/L3 scaling solution, had been delivering no-fee transactions. Because it’s based on the Ethereum network, Yuga Labs won’t have to worry about migrating its whole library to a new network before launching its metaverse.

“ApeCoin is a tribute to Ethereum’s community, development network, and security,” stated Immutable X Co-Founder Robbie Ferguson.”Its future should be built on Ethereum Layer-2, which is home to the majority of its users and community.”

We are certain that Immutable X is the ideal option for Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Otherside metaverse project and will devote considerable efforts to building it in collaboration with the community.”

Will Yuga lab enter Metaverse

There is still a lot of speculation about where Yuga Labs will eventually establish their Otherside metaverse.

The team has yet to provide a firm response on where it could relocate or whether it would continue to build directly on the Ethereum network.

There have been discussions of creating an ApeChain, a native blockchain for the BAYC ecosystem, but nothing has come of it.

This desire to maintain Yuga Labs’ innovation on Ethereum drew support from the community, who flooded in to share their thoughts.

To maintain enough scalability, the common opinion has been to continue existing on the Ethereum blockchain while implementing a Layer 2 rollup.

Although Immutable X received a lot of community support, it is not the first to propose that Otherside be built on its protocol.

The Avalanche network had earlier welcomed the project to develop on AVA following its mint, which led ETH transaction prices to rise.
