Reports are the iconic horses of Budweiser’s brand stepping into the digital world through NFTs but in a quite interesting way

Budweiser has found whole unique paths through which it’s seeking to step into the NFT space. The popular beer brand has chosen its ways, from buying its ENS name, beer.eth, to releasing digital collectibles and letting Bud Light join a DAO to put an NFT image into an ad for the Super Bowl. Budweiser is not looking to the races through a marketing deal with a prominent crypto game.

Budweiser announced its plans this week to put the Clydesdale horses known from the beer brand’s several past advertising campaigns into Zed Run, a popular NFT horse racing game based on the Ethereum network. Previously Zed Run has signed off an alliance with yet another beer brand Stella Artois.

Because of this new deal, Budweiser will launch its familiar Clydesdale mascots based on in-game skins or designs of horses. Along with this, the race track displayed in the game will also be based on the Budweiser theme. Further, the beer brand also has its involvement in in-game challenges with the commitment of $185,000 worth of total prize money along with the co-branded exclusive merchandise.

CEO and co-founder of Virtually Human studio company that created Zed Run, Chris Laurent, stated that working alongside Budweiser, an iconic brand that acts as a perfect example of the American dream, brought more opportunities for their expanding community of Zed Run.

The Ethereum-based NFT horse racing game Zed Run runs while making users own a racehorse NFT to play the game. NFT in the Zed Run would act as a contract of an item’s ownership, including collectibles, artwork, or similar interactive goods on a video game. These NFTs can also act as a community membership pass, a way that could provide a facility for brand engagement campaigns or a ticket to virtual or live events.

The sale of Budweiser Pass NFTs on Zed Run will be started on 9th June, where 2,500 NFTs will be available for buying at a minimum price of $225 per piece, while transaction fees of the Ethereum network will also be surcharged. Collectors having ownership of an existing NFT of Budweiser Heritage Can and either a pass of Zed Run NASCAR or a Zed Run Genesis NFT racehorse can have access to the sale earlier before its launch to the public.
