Christine Brown, the former COO of Robinhood Crypto, is one of the three co-founders of Floor, a new NFT portfolio app with its own member NFTs.

Brown announced her new job today: Floor, a token-gated NFT portfolio tracking tool that has raised $8 million in venture funding from 6th Man Ventures, B Capital, Collab+Currency, Crypto.com, and other investors.

“Beginning a crypto enterprise”

Christine Brown served as the first COO of Robinhood Crypto and the face of the company’s crypto division until she resigned at the end of March.

She would only state she was “beginning a crypto enterprise” at the time.

The floor has been around since last October when it issued its Generation I membership NFTs, but today appears to be its official launch.

Floor plans to use the $8 million in funding to “quickly grow the product beyond just a token-gated community and build new value for token holders while opening parts of the Floor platform to everyone and moving towards our mission of making NFTs more accessible & understandable for all,” according to a blog post.

Brown joins CEO Chris Maddern and CTO Sid Dabral, the co-founders of e-commerce company Button, as COO. Maddern was previously the head of Venmo’s mobile division.

Brown promotes Floor in an interview with Decrypt as a means to avoid the “horrible situation” of attempting to track the price change of your NFTs over time on popular markets like OpenSea.

So, last year, my co-founder Chris Maddern… created an app that does that, and it does it well.

You launch the app, enter your wallet address, and you can view your NFT portfolio, their worth over time, and what’s going on in that collection, and you get some very fascinating and unique insights into the data.

With the tokens you’re purchasing, you’ll become a smarter, more connected person.

Users are telling us that they open this app numerous times a day and that it’s the first thing they do when they get out of bed to check what’s going on.”
