Here’s why high-end luxury brand Gucci invested in SuperRare NFT Marketplace DAO!

Given the popularity and potential of web 3 and digital space, companies turning towards them should come obviously

Many top brands all-around regardless of industries came along to join the Web 3 and digital space. Now it’s time for popular luxury brand Gucci to step into Web 3. The Italian high-end fashion brand is making its first purchase in a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that came in the wake of its all new partnership that it made recently with SuperRare, a popular nonfungible token marketplace. 

In order to join SuperRareDAO, Gucci has acquired RARE tokens worth $25,000. Following its buyings, Gucci has also plans to launch an exhibition dubbed as ‘Vault Art Space’, that will include a collection of NFTs created by 29 artists.

CEO of Gucci Vault, Nicolas Oudinot said that they have reached to SoperRare with their offer as they know that if there is anything that they can rely on for their goal could be their mutual efforts and vision towards this auction where a number of digital collectibles are going to be placed. Further, he said that the abilities of SuperRare to provide artists a much needed platform is fascinating, using which they can represent their creation in a much more innovative way.

Oudinot added that the platform of the NFT marketplace is built upon the sense of community and it enhances the decentralization and interactions as vital tools that could support both the creators and their buyers. This initiative from Gucci is followed by the move where many luxury brands are now entering the digital space by buying NFTs and leveraging the power of blockchain technology, etc. It was in Febready this year, when Gucci dropped about ten NFT after its collaboration with Superplastic. 

The exhibition that Gucci is going to introduce would have the title ‘The Next 100 Years of Gucci. This will be a series of digital art pieces collectible that would contain the heritage and future of Gucci.
