Rishon LeZion based the College of Management Academic Studies has announced that it is going to award its students with non-fungible tokens (NFTs), those who are graduating this year from MBA courses related to Blockchain, Digital Currencies and Fintech. This step by the management studies college is the first of its kind in Israel to distribute certificates to students in the form of NFTs.

Prominent fintech and blockchain consulting firm MHFintechs and Dean Professor Tamar Almor are going to be in charge of this task of issuing NFTs to students. Meirav Harel is founder and CEO of MHFintechs, who’s quite a popular name in blockchain and crypto space being an expert, and certified investment consultant and she was also chosen in the list of 100 most inspirational women in Blockchain 2020.

About the initiative of university distributing NFTs, Harel said that most people think that NFTs are some speculative forms where digital arts get traded, Bored Ape Yacht Club is a typical example of the same. But the implementation of the same technology to serve the purpose for certification of academic diploma, would represent the real-world use case of NFTs that could solve the major authentication problem.

Harel further said that vision is to enable graduates to add their received NFT certificates to their portfolio, resume or LinkedIn profile through a link. This would be a proven way to authenticate the proof of certificate they received from the academy.

Tezos Israel, a prominent innovation blockchain lab based in Israel, will be behind the project of this NFTs issuing drive. Tezos is quite popular in the space and known for creating new NFTs for some big brand companies like Ubisoft, Gap and racing teams of the McLaren and Red Bull Formula 1. However, the Israeli University is the second institution to issue NFTs certificates to its students as South Korea-based Sungkyu

The digital products are anticipated to get popular and accepted among students while resolving the authentication issue

Due to their keen interest, new generation and current University students are already into digital assets and the crypto space. On top of that, if their respective institutions would also let them have exposure to related courses and similar digital objects, that would be quite an impressive move from students’ viewpoint. An Israeli University plans to do the same where it has decided to distribute NFT awards to its students.
