Metaverse has been attracting a lot of big guns from different industries lately. Among those sectors is the sports industry.

Football clubs are especially lured into this booming space. AC Milan, Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona, Liverpool, to name a few, are the clubs who have already stepped in the world of metaverse.

Crystal Palace, an English Premier League club is the latest addition in this digital list of soccer clubs.

As per Michael Kondoudis, a licensed metaverse trademark attorney, posted on Twitter to announce that Crystal Palace has boarded the metaverse ship.

Just the previous month, EPL, the biggest soccer league in the world entered the virtual realm with a couple of applications submitted to USPTO, for its “lion’s head” logo and league’s name, along with the logo of “loving cup trophy.”

Soccer World In The Metaverse

As I’ve mentioned above, metaverse appears to be an attractive atmosphere for the sports organizations, having lured legendary clubs like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain and more.

Recently, MetaSoccer, a play to earn football game was announced, enabling the players to manage their own teams in the game, similar to the Football Manager game, but with a little twist. The “virtual managers” will be able to generate income through Metasoccer.

This unique concept has allowed the football clubs to offer distinct way for the fans to interact with their favorite players.

Manchester City, a football club in the English Premier League stated previous year that they will develop a digital replica of their Etihad Stadium in the metaverse, sounds cool right!!

Through the groundbreaking Virtual Reality technology, fans might even be able to watch a football match, not from their TV set or while sitting in the stadium, but by actually standing on the pitch.

Yes, VR tech can make it possible as it allows us to immerse into the 3D world. How cool it would be to see Zlatan Ibrahimovic running past you while he performs a Rabona during the game. Sounds Perfect!!
