Evolution knocking on the Door: Ethereum and Polygon NFTs on Facebook

Not so surprising yet NFTs on social media platforms is one among the most anticipated goals that the crypto community is looking towards

Undoubtedly the social media giant platform Facebook has one of the prominent places and utmost importance in the world even among common people. Then on the other side, yet another emerging technological achievement in the form of non fungible tokens or NFTs, that are also known to have a very special place among people and it reached there in such a short period of time.

Since then, there has been sort of suppressed desires of the crypto community and proponents of NFTs that they should be available on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, etc. Now is the time when this is finally happening. The company behind popular social media platform Facebook, Meta initiated the NFT support rollout on its platform. 

Although the feature will be limited for several users in the United States for now, it is assumed to scale up soon. As per the reports, Facebook is up to rolling out NFTs based on Ethereum and Polygon for a small portion of its users. It came to know through a representative of Meta that the company has plans to further add more support for NFTs that would include Solana and Flow in upcoming times.

Further confirmations received from other officials also including Product Manager at Meta, Navdeep Singh who put up a Tweet showcasing the glimpse of those NFTs made available to Facebook. The newly added feature will provide the access to users to a tab consisting of digital collectibles on their social profile, that would allow them to put their NFTs on display and also browse collections of other users. 

Further, there are reports consisting of that mention of features that would allow Facebook users to connect their cryptocurrency wallets with their social media profiles. Moreover, these users will also have options available to turn their non fungible tokens into Facebook posts that can be seen and interacted with just like any other regular post. 

Earlier than Facebook, another popular social media platform of Meta, Instagram started rolling out similar features in May, which was also limited for selected users.
