This falling crypto market has affected the NFT sector too. People in the sector have witnessed a massive decrease in NFT trading volume. There’s good news for the ones monitoring Blue Chip collections. Digital collectibles like Bored Ape Yacht Club appear to be rising for the past 30 days. And their colleagues CryptoPunk have experienced a massive sales of 2,500 ETH over a single NFT.

Yes, you heard it right. A CryptoPunk was sold for 2,500 Ethereum amid this heavy turbulence in the market.An anonymous collector who also collects Meebits paid around $2.7 Million worth of ETH. The CryptoPunk #4464 have become the 5th highest grossing NFT in this collection. The purchased NFT is ranked 32nd in terms of its rarity, according to Rarity Tools platform.

Most expensive NFT from this collection is the CryptoPunk #5822 which was bought by the project’s CEO back in Feb 2022. He paid a whopping $11.8 Million for CryptoPunk #7523. The sale broke previous record of CryptoPunk #7523 sold back in June 2021. Other 3 most expensive tokens from the collections possess the “Alien” trait.

Soothing Times For Blue-chip NFT Collectibles

This acquisition was conducted by user “zoomc” who already possesses 25 NFTs from this collection and have thrown $3.9 Million on the collections to this date. This trade was one of the 22 NFTs sold during the previous 24 hours. Most inexpensive NFT from the channel during those past 24 hours remains Cryptopunk #3761, which went for 77 Ethereum.

Apart from this, another blue-chip collection was on the rise. Couple of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT went for $1Million per piece. This year appears to show no mercy on the sector. Still blue-Chip NFTs have shown some potential in the market. The market experienced rising trade volume during June when it topped $1 Billion.\
