  • Otherside Metaverse threw a launch event for its 4,500 owners.
  • This has proved to be one of the most successful Web3 community events.
  • It involved a lot of pre-testing of the product.

The Grand Event

Finally, the waiting time’s over. Otherside, Metaverse launched with a whooping 4,500 users. This was the first trip to the Otherside metaverse initiated as a demo. Also, the project’s Otherdeed NFT has crossed the one billion$ mark in sales.

The first trip–which was the tech demo— of the Otherside Metaverse project started on July 16 by Yuga Lab’s Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). This exclusive event was made available to only the land owners of the Metaverse. These users are known as Voyagers. These land plots are sold as token digital real estate in the Otherside metaverse. This has proved to be one of the most successful events in the web3 world. This is about the fact that a large number of Twitter users expressed their excitement as well as awe for this event.

What Happened in The Event?

The event started with the Voyagers joining in the virtual event as their virtual avatars. Then, the 4,500 avatars followed a giant Bored Ape through a colorful portal until they reached the land of Otherside Metaverse. The location was named Biogenic Swamp. After reaching there, they were redirected to a different virtual location. This was a centrally located stadium. This was the fun-test zone of avatars, meaning they could check out the dynamics and mechanics of their avatars. These include dancing, moving, walking, and running, along with a bonus of emojis.

Many areas were allotted as party zones in the virtual environment. One of the event’s highlights was some enormous digital creatures looking like monsters designed to attack the Voyagers if anyone got closer to them. There was a lot of testing of this product. These tests were named trips. Yuga Labs has mentioned that this is an exclusive event that only the ones who own Otherdeed NFTs and third-party developers have access to this event. Another reason for multiple test trips was that the Voyagers would be able to give them constructive criticism regarding their software development kits and in-game building tools.
